The Griz is a character played by Paul F. Tompkins. He is the husband of the British royal Lady Amelia Spencer. He comes from the streets, and he communicates using injured birds who hold messages and are carried by street urchins. On more than one occasion he has dug himself out of his own grave. He is a water polo inspector, and is capable of moving through any water, no matter how little.
The Griz appears to be loosely based off Amelia Spencer's real-life husband Greg Mallett.
