Joe Bongo is a character played by Andy Daly who has appeared on the podcast as well as the TV show. He is a health teacher at Marina Del Rey High School. He is an only child Army brat who has never celebrated a birthday. He is a health teacher, but he plays bongos in a band with some students called Rosebush Red. When he plays bongos he essentially blacks out and becomes another person, Jimmy Bongos. Naturally, Jimmy Bongos is a murderer and cannibal.
