Put down your ice cream, it's Comedy Death-Ray Radio! "Garry Marshall Presents" is episode 91 of Comedy Bang! Bang! (then Comedy Death-Ray Radio). Hosted by Scott Fava Bean, it stars guests Garry Marshall (Paul F. Tompkins), "Weird Al" Yankovic, and Tom Scharpling. "Garry Marshall Presents" was released on February 7, 2011.
Earwolf Synopsis[]
When you have your own talk show on IFC, you can get some pretty huge guests from the world of entertainment. This week Scott shows off his showbiz credentials with former Monk writer Tom Scharpling, gay marriage advocate Gary Marshall, and future “Best Book” nominee “Weird Al” Yankovic! If you want to know what it was like to write for Your Show of Shows, or how to behave during a Costco book signing, this is a show to which you should pay careful attention. Scott once again rolls out a new feature with “Who Said It?” but in proper tradition follows it up with a rather rousing round of “Would You Rather?” Like “Weird Al” always says: What’s Up Hot Dog!
Who Said It?[]
Some of the quotes from the game were:
"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Al correctly guesses JFK which Garry informs us stand for John F Kennedy.
"Hilary if you won't give me a Lewinsky, I will find someone who will." Tom correctly guesses William Jefferson Clinton.
"Please fucking kill yourself." Garry Marshall incorrectly guesses the lazy axe murderer, it was in fact every single person in the USA to Sarah Palin.
Garry and Weird Al tie for the win as Tom loses 3 points for incorrectly guessing the final question while being in the lead.
Would You Rather[]
Would you rather have chocolate taste like feces at random times or the only way you can get drunk is with rotten milk?
All three choose to go with the first scenario Weird Al because in real life he enjoys polar bear feces, Tom because in the second you are an alcoholic where as there was no mention of 'the plight of the chocoholic", finally Mr Marshall because he doesn't like his hands and would prefer they would be a mist, even though this was the same in both scenarios he thinks "the chocolate one seems like less maintenance".
Tom is declared the winner because he took his penalty like a gentleman.
